Evan Avraham Alpert completed residencies in Internal Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Hospital and Emergency Medicine at the Maimonides Medical Center, both in New York. For the past 20 years has practiced Emergency Medicine in Israel while occasionally working locum tenens positions in New York State. He currently works in the Emergency Department of the Hadassah University Medical Center, Ein Kerem in Jerusalem, Israel, where he is the Director of the ED Clinical Academic Unit and Director of Hospital Disaster Preparedness. He is also the Director of the Emergency Department of the Israeli Field Hospital and has participated in missions to the Philipines after Typhoon Yolanda in 2013, the earthquake in Nepal in 2015, and the earthquake in Turkey in 2023. The Israeli Field Hospital was the first to receive Level 3 recognition in 2016 by the World Health Organization. He is the author of over 50 publications cited in PubMed in addition to numerous book chapters. His academic works focus on disaster medicine, ultrasound, and social medicine. He is a founding member of the National Israeli Course in Emergency Medicine (NICEM) and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Hebrew University School of Medicine in Jerusalem, Israel.
